At the Bots Give Back Collegiate Network (BGBCN), we connect student leaders with grassroots nonprofits to bring you something priceless: access to the tools of tomorrow. Our student-led Chapters and Affiliates partner directly with organizations like yours to introduce AI-powered fundraising, donor engagement, and stewardship strategies — resources that many small nonprofits can’t afford on their own.

Through AI Access Grants, student support, and national training resources, we help you save time, raise more funds, and strengthen your community impact. With BGBCN, you don’t just get volunteers — you gain a team of innovative partners committed to your growth.

AI Access Grants

Guidelines & Application

The AI Access Grant Program provides small, targeted awards to help underfunded grassroots nonprofits adopt artificial intelligence (AI) tools that improve fundraising, donor stewardship, and organizational efficiency.

Grants typically range from $500–$1,500 and are designed to remove barriers to entry — covering software licenses, training, and implementation support.

To apply, organizations must:

Be a grassroots or small nonprofit (generally under $1 million annual budget).
Serve a community-based mission (any issue area welcome).
Not currently have access to or budget for AI fundraising/stewardship tools.
Commit to sharing outcomes and impact stories with BGBCN.
Have a bank account in the organization’s name (funds cannot be paid to individuals).
Priority is given to nonprofits partnered with a BGBCN Affiliate or Chapter.

Grant funds may be used for:

AI-powered donor engagement platforms.
Staff or volunteer training on AI tools.
Implementation support (consulting or student-led assistance).
Creating donor communications or stewardship workflows.

Funds may not be used for:

General operating expenses unrelated to AI adoption.
Salaries, debt repayment, or capital campaigns.
Political or partisan activities.

Grant Timeline

Applications Open: January 1st
Application Deadline: June 15th
Award Announcements: September 20th
Grant Period: 6–12 months
Final Report Due: Within 30 days of the grant period’s end
